The Aguda LeMa'an Hachcyal is the leading civilian organization that provides welfare services to IDF soldiers.  The Organization provides assistance, welfare and educational services.  The Aguda LeMa'an Hachcyal activities are aimed and operated in close cooperation with IDF commanders and soldiers.

The Aguda LeMa'an Hachcyal budget is based on donations in Israel and abroad.  Approximately 3,000 volunteers are active within the Organization.

Thanks to wonderful people who hold the IDF soldiers dear to their hearts, the Aguda LeMa'an Hachcyal can implement a wide variety of different activities:

• Establishing cultural centers, athletic arenas, debriefing rooms, fitness centers and synagogues on the military bases.
• Providing vacations for warriors and combat supporting soldiers in recreation villages in Ashkelon, Givat Olga, Eilat and Kiryat Shemona.
• Organizing fun days for combat soldiers.
• Cultural and sports events
• Roadside canteens and rest areas nationwide.
• Gifts upon enlistment and discharge.
• Connecting satellite Internet and television at various bases.
• Hosting IDF widows and orphans at the “Bnei Hail” summer camps.
• Funding unit activities.
• “Yoter” club – A club providing benefits to enlisted soldiers, including benefits in the field of culture, consumerism, leisure and vacationing.
• Providing accommodations for “Lonely Soldiers” and soldiers who serve away from home in various Soldier Hostels and dozens of apartments that the Organization rents and maintains nationwide.
• Providing “Lonely Soldiers” with a warm hug – Airline tickets to visit their families abroad, a communal Seders, gift certificates, international calling cards and more.
• Operating placement centers for enlisted soldiers permitted to work.
• Helping soldiers from families facing financial troubles.
• Caring for hospitalized soldiers.
• Food packages to combat soldiers and their families.
• Conducting seminars on academic options for soldiers facing discharge.
• IMPACT – A scholarship program for released warriors.
• “Heseg” – A scholarship program for “Lonely Soldiers” and immigrants.
